How each works

LinkedIn Recruiter

A seat gives your team advanced search across LinkedIn's members, InMail credits to reach people outside your network, and tools to track candidates in projects. Your recruiters or hiring managers run the searches, write the messages, screen the replies and manage the process from there.

[solved]

One of our senior talent partners defines the role with you in one working session and confirms the direction with a few calibration profiles before anyone is contacted. Each shortlisted candidate is assessed on the outcomes you approved, identity verified, and arrives with a Candidate Evidence Brief.

When LinkedIn Recruiter is the better choice

  • You have a recruiter with time to source, and you hire often enough for a seat to earn its cost.
  • You want to build and own a long-term pipeline inside your own team.

When [solved] fits better

  • The hire is consequential, and you want evidence before your team spends interview time.
  • You want a fixed fee, known before the search begins.
  • You want your team's time on the interviews and the decision.
  • You want most of the fee tied to a signed hire. Three-quarters of the fee is due only when your hire signs, and the retainer is returned in full if the shortlist misses the criteria you agreed.
  • You want to see the search as it moves, in one Hiring Workspace.

Looking at my calendar a few weeks in, I realized recruiting hadn't taken over my life. I still met the people and made the call, but I wasn't spending Sunday night on LinkedIn or trying to remember who I had to reply to.

It depends on how often you hire and whether someone on your team has time to source. A seat earns its cost when a recruiter uses it steadily across many roles. For an occasional, consequential hire, the seat gives access, and the search itself still needs someone to run it.

A retainer begins the search: $2,500 for Specialist Search or $5,000 for Leadership Search. The balance is due when your hire signs. If the shortlist misses the criteria you agreed, the retainer is returned in full, and if you stop a search, the retainer carries over when the role reopens or a new search begins.
