Candidate privacy
Effective October 4, 2026
In brief
- We use your information to consider you for roles and keep you informed through every stage.
- We share your details with a client only for a role you have agreed to be considered for.
- Identity verification happens only with your explicit consent. We keep the result, never copies of your ID.
- If a search ends without a hire, we delete your information after 6 months, unless you ask us to keep you in mind for future roles.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
[solved] runs searches for companies hiring for consequential roles. This notice explains how we handle your information as a candidate. [solved] is responsible for that information. You can reach us at privacy@markedsolved.com.
What we collect
- What you share with us: your CV, contact details, LinkedIn profile, work history, compensation expectations and anything you send through our forms or your Candidate Workspace.
- What we learn in conversations, interviews and work-based exercises, and the assessment notes that follow.
- Professional information you have made public, such as a public professional profile, when we first approach you about a role.
- Details a client or referrer shares with us, when they suggest you for a role.
- Identity verification results, described below.
How we use it, and why
- To approach you about roles that may fit your experience, and to keep you informed (legitimate interests, or your consent where you sent us your details).
- To assess your experience for a specific role and prepare a Candidate Evidence Brief for the client (legitimate interests, and your agreement to be considered).
- To verify your identity before you reach a client's shortlist (your explicit consent).
- To keep you in mind for future roles, only if you agree (consent).
- To keep records required by law (legal obligation).
How decisions are made
We use technology to help with research and organizing our work, but every assessment and recommendation about you is made by a person. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
When we share your information with a client
We share your details with a client only for a specific role, and only after you have agreed to be considered for it. What we share is your Candidate Evidence Brief, your CV and your identity verification status. We share your compensation expectations only as you have agreed. Clients receive your information to consider you for that role and may not use it for anything else.
Identity verification
Before you reach a client's shortlist, we ask you to complete a short identity check: document validation, a face match and a liveness check. It runs through Didit, our identity verification provider, and only with your explicit consent, which you can decline. Didit processes your document and images under its own terms and privacy notice. We keep only the result, such as whether your identity was confirmed and when, never copies of your identity document or images of you.
Calls and recordings
We record or transcribe a conversation only if you agree at the start. Transcripts are kept while the related search is active and deleted within 90 days after it closes. Audio is deleted once the transcript exists.
Who we share it with
Besides clients, as described above, we share your information only with service providers who help us run our searches, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Recruitly, which runs your Candidate Workspace and our records
- Didit, for identity verification, with your consent
- Resend and our email provider, for messages to and from you
- Consolto, for scheduling and holding calls
- Cloudflare, for the security check on our forms
- Our website hosting provider
- A transcription service, only for calls you have agreed to record
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Where your information is handled
Our team and service providers may handle your information in countries other than your own, wherever we and they operate, and in the country of a client who is considering you. When information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland moves to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- If a search ends without a hire: 6 months after the search closes, then deleted.
- If you agree to be kept in mind for future roles: up to 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
- If you are hired: your details pass to your new employer. We keep only what our replacement coverage, accounting and legal records require.
- Identity verification: the result only, kept with the rest of your record and deleted with it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us:
- What we hold about you, and for a copy
- To correct information that is wrong
- To delete your information
- To restrict or object to how we use it
- For your information in a portable format
- To withdraw consent at any time, including for identity verification or for being kept in mind for future roles
We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Email privacy@markedsolved.com; we reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your local authority; in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; in California, the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access limited to those who need it, and service providers held to the same standard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this notice
We will post any changes here, with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell the candidates affected.
